Computer Monitor Commentary
| End Of Evangelion | | Just finished watching it. It's great ending to the great series. I loved the battles, it was sweet to watch Asuka going berserk on those new Eva's. Instrumentality part was good but I still liked it better in the original episodes. My head hurts from all those quick flashes because I'm sitting in front of computer monitor and cable of my earphones isn't long enough to pull far from monitor. I understood pretty much everything except the last scene. I have some theories about that but I'm not really sure...I guess it can be interpreted in many ways.Hell, I'm already downloading Rebuild Of Evangelion. Is it good?

| | Do You Still. . . Double Space? | | Recently, after years of reading online articles and composing emails, an odd thought struck me. Actually it was more of a long forgotten memory that smacked me in the back of the head.To confirm this sudden wallop of enlightenment I dug out a book... you remember those don't you? They are portable objects that have a front and back and are filled with pages of paper that have words printed on them. They don't even require batteries! Yeah, those things.Well anyway, I brushed the dust off of the book and opened it.Yup. There it was. Right there on paper.The beginning of each paragraph was indented two spaces. There was even a double space between each sentence in all of the paragraphs!I looked up at the Internet article that was displayed on my computer monitor.Nope. No double space. Nowhere.So what happened? Did the rules change? I don't remember much from my days of learning how to type by banging away at an old, black, lever-style typewriter. I do remember, now, that you were supposed to use double space for starting paragraphs and between sentences.Is it just an ancient typing technicality that got lost in all the new technical stuff of modern... | |
| | How about using a TV for a computer monitor? | | I know it is possible to use the TV a the monitor for the PC. but it needs certain hardware. But i don't know why we buy a monitor separately then?Why not connect the computer to the TV and use the bigger screen? | |
| | There's a spider in the keyboard! | | Today I went down into the basement because we have the computer down here. Well, hanging from the ceiling was a spider, a very tiny black one dangling just in front of the computer monitor. I looked at it thoughtfully and blow it away so it lands on a piece of paper and not on the keyboard. Then I went on with what I was doing. I discovered a few moment later that he was on and then in between the keys. He seemed to have crawled under the L key, so I was careful to make sure the message I was typing out did not contain any letter L's. But soon I couldn't see the spider anymore and I had no idea where he had gone.I gave him a few minutes, but I had to give up on him and go on with my life. Has anything like this ever happened to you? Do you ever really care about the lives of the insignificant little bugs around us? They're just going to die in a few days anyway, aren't they? I'm sure any little squish they suffer is more than likely quick and painless. | |
| | NEC computer;having problem with my monitor... | | I hada problem regarding my NEC computer monitor. If you turn on the PC, the monitor only showed white..i can hear the usual tune of microsoft and even log in the PIN on it but still you can't see the whole real page. I don't think it could be the video card cause everytime i turn on the PC there's no buzzz you can hear..will it be my monitor itself? What do you think? Please suggest..thanks and cheers | |
| | If you have to choose... | | These month i got my salary paid and i have a problem to choose my computer monitor need to buy a new one and i also need to buy a new hand phone because my hand phone can not take a good signal and the colour very blur and need to use in work. So i talk to my family they said buy hand phone because work is more important. So next month i buy computer monitor. How about you mylotter. | |
| | Netflix ROKU player | | Hi everyone, just before the holidays we purchased the Netflix ROKU player and we love it! It is wonderful, if you are a Netflix member you have the option of watching movies instantly on your computer, there are 1,000's of movies to choose from and free with your subscription. But it can be a real "pain" to watch your movie on a small computer monitor, but WahLah! this ROKU player allows you to port those movies to your TV screen, it's great you can play your movie anytime, stop and start it. | | How bright is your computer monitor? | | On Monday that was the start of this new week, my table lamp went down. I felt almost as blind as a bat that had lost its ears. So I went all over the place looking for the replacement tubes but nowhere could they be found. So half-sulking, I have to make do without the extra light next to my monitor till I decide to brace myself for another session of tube-hunting.That brings to mind how reliant I am on this lamp. During the day when the light filters in through the blinds, all is fine. But when it gets into the night, the overhead lamp provides insufficient light for my computer activities. I have tried to tweak the brightness setting of my monitor. Yet, my eyes still feel uncomfortable no matter what through the entire range of brightness 0 to 100%.[b]How bright is your monitor?[/b] I am curious what your brightness setting is (I think the default is 50% brightness). Practically everyone I know seems to find no fault with the monitor brightness and I never hear of anyone needing an extra lamp like me.So, is your monitor setting at 50% default brightness?
